Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia invites a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tester hardware and related equipment. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and system issues, improve uptime, and support installation, validation, and upgrades.

Controller of logs, collaboration with engineers and vendors, and maintaining repair history are key duties. Safety, quality, and operational standards must be followed in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders must demonstrate strong hands-on maintenance ability.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and automation equipment would help.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance activities per schedules and procedures.
• Complete corrective maintenance and troubleshoot tester hardware and equipment-related failures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and system-related issues to restore equipment operation.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify reliability, utilization, and uptime improvements.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, upgrades, and validation activities.
• Analyze equipment logs, alarms, and data to determine root causes of failures.
• Perform equipment calibration and verification as required.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and repair history.
• Support spare parts management and inventory control.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment effectiveness and productivity (AI emphasis).
• Ensure safety, quality, and operational standards during maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical disciplines!
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills!
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automated equipment systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment documentation, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or automated production environments.
• Hands‑on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and reliability improvement techniques.Experience analyzing equipment logs and performance data.
• Basic programming, scripting, or automation knowledge is an advantage.
