Job summary

Ad Astra Consultants is seeking a versatile Test Engineer to join our APAC Consumer Servicing Technology team. You will ensure quality and reliability of consumer-facing servicing systems across the Asia Pacific region, including digital self-service platforms, CRM, contact centre solutions, and conversational AI.

You will work across manual and automated testing, own your work, and context-switch across platforms and teams to deliver quality outcomes under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a software testing or QA role.
• Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with at least one automation framework or tool (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Ability to work independently across different systems and projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and user stories.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across consumer servicing systems.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases beyond scripted coverage.
• Validate UI/UX across web and mobile interfaces of consumer-facing platforms.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders and track defect resolution.
• Develop, maintain, and extend automated test scripts and frameworks for regression and smoke testing.
• Identify test cases suitable for automation and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and analyse automated test results and maintain test suite stability.
• Maintain up-to-date automation frameworks as systems evolve.
• Work independently across multiple systems and projects; collaborate with analysts, developers, and managers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test environment setup and data management.
