Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish testing strategies, flow & procedures for production.
• Plan test capacity to maximise tester usage.
• Improve test yield via CIP/RMA activities.
• Maintain Venture SOPs and related documentation.
• Lead Test Engineering staff and support production while ensuring quality.
• Maintain and update test equipment master list and calibrations.
• Review 1st article samples before customer submission.
• Support product transfers and NPI activities.
• Generate and validate test reports for publication.
• Update firmware via ECN changes in BOM when applicable.
• Maintain debug WIP through yield improvements and resource management.
• Liaise with customers on product-related issues for improvements.
• Seek better test efficiencies and coverage to achieve high quality at lower cost.
• Contribute to safety, health and environmental programs.

We’re looking to add a Senior Test Engineer in Tebrau, Johor.

As a Senior Test Engineer You will:

Job Summary:

Provide supports for the various tests applied to products for optimum test coverage in meeting customer & product specifications. Performs top defects failure analysis, test yield improvement, 1st article approvals, ECN changes, calibration of equipment and maintenance/updating of test procedure documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish testing strategies, flow & procedures to ensure smooth, effective and efficient running of production;
• Perform test capacity planning to ensure testers capacities are maximised & sufficient;
• Constantly improve test yield via CIP/RMA activities;
• Generate, update, review and maintain the Venture Standard Operating Procedure;
• Lead a group of Test Engineering Assistant / Technician & ensures compliance to quality standards, company guidelines & procedures are adhered to whilst providing necessary support to production;
• Validate & maintain test equipment's in good condition and master list of test equipment in the production to ensure the most current revisions are implemented on the line;
• Review and evaluate 1st article samples before submitting to customers (if applicable);
• Participate in product transfer activities & NPI support;
• Generate & validate test reports prior to publication;
• Generate ECN Changes to update product firmware version in Bill Of Materials (if applicable);
• Maintain minimum debug WIP through test yield improvements & resource management;
• Liaise with customers on product related issues for improvements;
• Constantly looking into better test efficiencies & better test coverage to achieve 1st class quality at minimum cost;
• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs;
• Participate in any special projects/programs as & when assigned by Company;

Authority:

• Participate in MRB disposition of parts and problem solving;
• Recommend test equipment's, test fixtures and improve test programmed to ensure products meet the required quality and achieve high efficiencies. Implements changes due to ECN;
• Remove measuring/test equipment's from production line that are out of calibration;
• Review calibration report prior to release or for necessary disposition if deemed unfit for use.

Education & Experience

Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical or relevant Engineering field, preferably with 5-8 years relevant experience in a highly competitive product manufacturing;
