Job summary

Venture, a leading global provider of technology services and electronics manufacturing, seeks an Automation Manager in Tebrau, Johor to direct engineering and production activities with a focus on cycle-time, costing and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering, 10+ years in EMS/back-end processes, strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and ERP/SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ERP and SAP would be advantageous.
• Good engineering analytical skills, hands-on approach.
• Strong leadership qualities with initiative and drive for success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferably 10+ years in manufacturing or EMS back-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct all engineering and production activities with emphasis on cycle-time, costing and manufacturability.
• Ensure production schedules are met and operations run smoothly.
• Lead Production Supervisors and engineering/production teams.
• Improve methods, equipment performance and quality of work.
• Oversee NPI activities and liaise with customers on changes and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager on project reviews.

We’re looking to add a Automation Manager in Tebrau, Johor.

As a Automation Manager, You will:

Job Summary:

Responsible for directing all engineering and production activities in the plant with major emphasis on form cycle-time, costing and manufacturability..

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all production schedules are met, and production is operating smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensure all personnel follow the operating procedures (Venture Standard Operating Procedure).
• Assign duties to Production Supervisor.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of work.
• Provide technical and production leadership to the engineering and production teams to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Schedule delivery commitments to address customers’ needs in a timely manner.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Oversee NPI activities: - Support development of new process by ensuring adequate resources (material, manpower, equipment & etc.) are available.
• Stop machine and process which are producing defective products and when machine is not calibrated.
• Liaise with customers on consigned material shortage or defective consigned materials through the Program Manager.
• Remove all obsolete drawing or Venture Standard Operating Procedure.
• Scrap defective PCBAs and defective materials through Scrap Authorization Form.
• Work closely with customers on any change, demands, schedule and forecast.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to review projects / contracts.

Education and Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or its equivalent preferred, with proven track record in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP and SAP would be advantageous.
• Good engineering analytical skills, coupled with a hands-on approach are essential.
• Strong leadership qualities, has initiative and a strong drive for success, and good understanding of total customer satisfaction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferably with at least 10 years of related working experience in manufacturing or process industry, preferably in EMS back end processes.
