Job summary

SiTime in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Sr. Test Development Engineer to design hardware and software test solutions for precision timing devices.

From kickoff to production, you will define ATE test hardware, develop test software, and validate on both custom and standard ATE platforms. You will work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, advance DFT features, support NPI, and lead release-to-production activities while improving test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Four+ years of related work experience.
• Background in ATE development for mixed-signal ICs; experience with Teradyne ETS platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of analog electronics and board-level debugging.
• Experience in statistical analysis of test data.
• Hands-on electronics lab instrumentation; metrology systems for timing parameters preferred.
• Excellent programming skills with C++.

Responsibilities

• Define the ATE test flow and test plan for new products.
• Engage with design team on Design for Test (DFT) features.
• Develop, validate, and release production test software for standard mixed-signal ATE platforms such as Teradyne Eagle Test Systems (ETS-88).
• Provide inputs in the development of the test hardware from block diagram definition, schematic drafting, layout considerations, assembly, and verification.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by developing test methodologies and qualification or characterization plans.
• Participate in test program debugging, optimization, and correlation activities.
• Improve test coverage, test time efficiency, and manufacturability to support high-volume production.
• Lead release-to-production activities, including support for high-volume production.
