We are seeking a Senior Technology Development Engineer - Thermal Systems to provide technical ownership for motor cooling and heat dissipation, heater and heating-element design, and emerging vibration-assisted thermal technologies across next-generation product platforms. The role combines thermal-fluid simulation, experimental validation, system integration, and technical mentoring to improve performance, safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and user experience.
Own thermal technology development and requirements from concept through product implementation, translating product targets into measurable design parameters, operating limits, and acceptance criteria.
Lead motor cooling and heat-dissipation design by optimizing airflow paths, heat sinks, thermal interfaces, insulation, and protection for reliable compact systems.
Develop heater systems and heating elements covering coil sizing, resistance, power density, temperature uniformity, material selection, efficiency, control, and safety.
Apply CFD and thermal modelling to analyze conduction, convection, radiation, pressure loss, and temperature distribution, supported by test correlation.
Investigate emerging thermal solutions including piezoelectric devices, vibration-assisted cooling, micro-blowers, and other non-conventional technologies.
Design and execute validation testing by defining test methods, rigs, instrumentation, and acceptance criteria to validate product and assembly designs.
Solve performance and reliability problems using test data, root-cause analysis, model correlation, FMEA, rapid trials, and verification of corrective actions.
Collaborate with product and design teams to review concepts, guide thermal integration, close interface gaps, and support timely design delivery.
Guide technical reviews and capability development by mentoring engineers, reviewing analysis and test plans, and improving internal modelling and validation methods.
Shape thermal technology roadmaps by proposing platform opportunities, assessing technical feasibility, and aligning investments with business and user needs.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in thermal systems, motor or electronics cooling, heat dissipation, heater development, or related product technology.
Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermal-fluid system design principles.
Proficiency in ANSYS Fluent / CFX / Discovery or equivalent CFD and thermal modelling tools, with MATLAB or similar data-analysis capability.
Experience in airflow cooling, thermal interfaces, heater coil or heating-element design, material selection, and safety evaluation.
Hands-on in thermal instrumentation, test rigs, model correlation, and validation.
Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional technical reviews.
