Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned technical writer to craft and publish comprehensive product documentation, including datasheets, design guides, and user manuals. You will analyze data to ensure precise syntax, voice, and consistency, and coordinate reviews across global teams.

The role requires a strong technical background, excellent writing skills, and at least five years of relevant experience with standard authoring tools and CMS workflows. Independent, fast-paced work style is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Technical Communications or a related liberal arts program, or background in Engineering or Computer Science.
Excellent writing skills combined with a technical background.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a technical writer.
Minimum 5 years' experience with industry-standard authoring tools such as Microsoft Office, DITA XML, and Adobe FrameMaker.
Experience working with content management systems, version control best practices and illustration/diagram creation (preferred).

Responsibilities

Craft, edit, revise, and publish technical product information including datasheets, specifications, design guides, application notes and user manuals
Analyze and interpret data to determine appropriate syntax, presentation style, voice and grammatical usage
Schedule reviews, record approval, and maintain information architecture metadata
Work closely with engineering, field-sales, and factory teams from around the world to identify gaps in existing content
Propose solutions that enhance the value and accuracy of product documentation
Work independently in a fast-paced environment
