Job summary

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior design and construction professional to lead end-to-end project design, from concept through construction drawings. You will coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and compliance with codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include design submissions review, technical leadership during pre-construction and on-site phases, and collaboration with procurement for material

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years in design and construction with at least 3 years on projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, power distribution, UPS, generators, fire protection).
• Familiar with Malaysian authority submission processes (BOMBA, TNB, IWK, Local Council).
• Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills; able to make fast technical decisions.
• Experience with main contractors is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full design cycle for projects, including concept, detailed design, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless design integration.
• Review and approve design submissions, ensuring compliance and identifying design discrepancies for technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-construction and construction phases and resolve issues on site.
• Support procurement by evaluating technical proposals, materials, and equipment selection.
• Ensure all design and technical works comply with local authorities, building codes, safety regulations, and reflect as-built site conditions.
