Job summary

Themetech International in Malaysia seeks a senior design and construction engineer to lead the full design cycle, from concept through detailed design to construction drawings, with a strong emphasis on MEP integration and compliance.

You will coordinate with architects, M&E consultants, structural engineers, and vendors, review submissions, manage design risk, support tendering, and guide on-site technical issues during pre-construction and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–12 years' experience in design and construction, with at least 3 years on projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, UPS, generators, fire protection).
• Familiar with Malaysian authority submission processes (BOMBA, TNB, IWK, Local Council).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full design cycle from concept to construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, and vendors for design integration.
• Review and approve design submissions to ensure compliance; identify and solve design discrepancies.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-construction and construction phases; resolve on-site issues.
