Job summary

Grab is seeking a skilled Technical Accountant to join our Malaysia-based team in Petaling Jaya. You will work on IFRS-based financial statements, focusing on purchase price allocations, valuations, and financial instruments, aligning with a fast-moving tech company's needs.

Based in Malaysia, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support external auditors while driving improvements in reporting processes and controls across the Group Accounting Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical accounting, external audit, or financial reporting with IFRS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IFRS compliance in the Group’s financial statements.
• Prepare accounting memos on initial classification and measurement for new issues.
• Support quarter-end closing and ensure accurate valuation of financial instruments.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team and stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and present supporting analyses.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency of financial reporting.
