Job summary

Sysmex Malaysia is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support and administer SAP S/4HANA and GTS environments across APAC. You will provide first‑level application support, manage MDG data governance, and assist with testing, deployment, and change management with consultants and business users.

Based at Sysmex Malaysia Office in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, the role requires 5 years of SAP experience (MM/EWM), strong data quality controls, and collaboration with data owners.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT/CS/Business Admin, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on SAP S/4HANA/ECC 6.0 experience.
• Experience with MM and/or EWM modules.
• Data governance and MDG data quality controls.
• Experience in SAP MDG workflows, validation rules, and data replication.
• SAP application support, incident and change management.
• Good SAP integration knowledge with other modules or external systems.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Willing to travel 10–20% annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level functional and technical support for SAP S/4HANA and GTS systems, particularly MM and/or EWM modules.
• Act as the Material Master Data Governance Lead and maintain material master data standards, policies, and governance processes.
• Support SAP MDG processes, including creation, changes, approval workflows, validation rules, and data replication.
• Perform user administration, access control coordination, and periodic user licence monitoring.
• Analyse incidents, service requests, and data quality issues, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and external SAP consultants.
• Support configuration, enhancement testing, deployment, and change management for SAP MM, EWM, and MDG functionalities.
• Work with business process owners, data owners, and key users to gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Prepare and execute system testing, integration testing, and UAT scripts for enhancements, patches, and system upgrades.
• Support data validation, cleansing, and basic data migration activities.
• Maintain system documentation, governance procedures, and support logs in compliance with IT Cybersecurity, CSV, JSOX, and ISO requirements.

Job Purpose

The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for supporting and administering SAP business applications, working closely with consultants, business users, and key stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region. This role provides first-level application support, change management, solution testing, and deployment support for SAP S/4HANA and Global Trade Services (GTS) environments. The incumbent will also act as the Material Master Data Governance (MDG) Lead, ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance across SAP landscapes.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA or ECC 6.0 systems.
• Practical exposure to SAP MM and/or EWM modules.
• Experience in Material Master Data management, data governance, and data quality controls.
• Exposure to SAP MDG workflows, validation rules, and data replication concepts.
• Experience in SAP application support, incident management, change management, and project/change request implementation.
• Good understanding of SAP integration with other modules or external systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Willing to travel approximately 10% to 20% annually.

Preferred Knowledge

• Exposure to SAP Fiori applications related to MDG, MM, or EWM.
• Basic knowledge of IDoc or data replication monitoring.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
• Exposure to enterprise or system support using CoPilot AI or other AI tools.
