Job summary

Baker Tilly Malaysia is seeking a senior sustainability assurance professional to lead and support engagements under ISAE 3000 (Revised) and ISSA 5000. The role focuses on technical guidance for sustainability reporting, disclosures, and emissions assurance.

The candidate will contribute to developing methodologies, templates, and training, while monitoring trends and regulatory developments to strengthen the firm’s sustainability assurance offerings.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (MIA/ACCA/ICAEW/CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years in audit and assurance, with sustainability/GHG emissions experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISSB, GRI, SASB, GHG Protocol frameworks.
• Strong ISAE 3000 (Revised) and ISSA 5000 knowledge.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support sustainability assurance engagements per ISAE 3000 (Revised) and ISSA 5000.
• Provide technical guidance on sustainability reporting, disclosures and related matters.
• Develop and enhance sustainability assurance templates, work programmes and resources.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical guidance to engagement teams.
• Enhance firm’s sustainability assurance capabilities and service offering.
• Develop and deliver sustainability assurance training for partners and staff.
• Support proposals and business development for sustainability assurance services.
