Job summary

Waters is seeking a Supply Planner for its Malaysia operations in Penang. You will independently manage high-mix-low-volume production planning, coordinating with demand planning and contract manufacturers to optimize inventory and meet delivery commitments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business, 3–5 years’ experience in supply planning, and proficiency with Excel; knowledge of SAP/APO is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain/ Business or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel is preferred.
• Experience in supply planning and buying is desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP APO is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently executes supply planning activities for high-mix-low-volume products.
• Drive consensus process with demand planning and coordinate with contract manufacturing to develop production plan for instruments, sub-assembly and PCBA.
• Drive contract manufacturers and develop production schedule with Supply Chain and Manufacturing while optimizing inventory across DCs.
• Identify and resolve supply exceptions by expediting POs, re-allocating materials and changing production priorities.
• Engage cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver metrics like Product Availability and On-Time Delivery.
• Communicate supply status and risks with demand planning to ensure sufficient finished goods supply.
• Monitor demand fluctuations, forecast changes, and supply risks.
• Manage ECR/ECO activities with Contract Manufacturers and review turnaround times.
