Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is partnering with a leading global semiconductor manufacturer in Melaka to recruit a Supplier Quality Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager. You will lead the supplier quality team, drive a zero-defects mindset, and ensure ISO 9001 alignment across the supply chain. The role emphasizes audits, CAPA, and collaboration with procurement and manufacturing to mitigate vendor risk. A degree in engineering and 5+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supplier quality leadership or project management experience.
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Supplier Quality team to prioritize daily operations and drive a zero-defects mindset.
• Drive structured problem-solving for supplier non-conformances with containment, root-cause analysis, and CAPA closure.
• Conduct supplier quality audits, evaluations, and new material qualifications with evidence-based corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier metrics and conduct regular performance reviews for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to assess vendor risks, manage escalations, and report quality insights to senior leadership.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and proactive communication with internal stakeholders and global suppliers.
