Job summary
WATLOW ELECTRIC MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior or Engineer – Supplier Quality for Kulim Kedah to ensure supplier performance through audits, data-driven improvements, and close collaboration with NPD and global Supply Chain teams.
The role requires a B.S. degree in engineering or technical discipline and at least five years in supplier quality or related fields, with travel up to 30% and bilingual English/Mandarin capabilities preferred.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering or technical discipline.
- Minimum five years in an engineering/design or manufacturing/process role.
- Minimum five years in a Supplier Quality, QA, or Supply Chain role.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency preferred for business communication.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate/audit new Watlow suppliers during NPD/global footprint projects.
- Lead supplier evaluation/audits of current Watlow suppliers.
- Deploy Watlow requirements to suppliers and close gaps to meet expectations.
- Lead supplier readiness/improvement for new and existing suppliers.
- Utilize supplier performance data to target improvements and action plans.
- Lead major supplier corrective actions with 8D methodology.
