Job summary

ICHOR Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Quality Engineer focused on supplier quality to develop and maintain quality methodologies for supplier performance across electro-mechanical assembly and machining/metal fabrication suppliers.

You will support investigations of nonconformances, CAPA processes, data analysis, and metrics, ensuring quality outcomes in a fast-paced development and manufacturing environment. This role is on-site in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Technical Field or 5+ years in Quality Engineering in manufacturing.
• Hard goods manufacturing experience with electro-mechanical assembly and machining/metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of common quality tools and methodologies.
• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including statistical/data analysis and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier QA quality performance initiatives within Ichor Supply Chain.
• Drive investigation, resolution and prevention of supplier product and process nonconformances.
• Identify and implement supplier process controls for development, qualification and ongoing manufacture.
• Assist in implementing process controls and CAPA systems to meet internal and external requirements.
• Communicate quality issues and performance levels with suppliers.
• Support risk analysis with suppliers and assist product verification and validation within the supply chain.
• Own supplier quality metrics and internal reporting of supplier performance.
• Support management-identified initiatives to improve the Ichor Supply Chain.

Job description

This position is focused on the development and performance of our components, materials, and special process suppliers. You will develop and maintain quality methodologies and procedures relating to the supplier quality function. Providing quality engineering support within a dynamic and fast-paced new product development and production manufacturing environment you will insure the success our key suppliers as we continue to grow our business.

Responsibilities

• Leads all efforst focused on supplier qaulity perfromance within Ichor Supply Chain
• Drive investigation, resolution and prevention of supplier product and process nonconformances
• Identify and implement effective supplier process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet specified requirements
• Assist in the implementation of process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements
• Communicates quality issues and overall pefromance levels with suppliers
• Support completion and maintenance of risk analysis with suppliers
• Support design engineering in the completion of product verification and validation within the Ichor supply chain
• Owns supplier quality function metrics and communications supplier performance Internally
• Support all assigned initiatives as identified by management in the improvement of Ichor Supply Chain

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering or Technical Field; or at least 5 years in a Quality Engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment.
• Hard goods manufacturing experience with emphasis in electro-mechanical assembly and Machining/Metal Fab industries
• Knowledge of common quality tools/methodologies
• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced computer skills, including statistical/data analysis and report writing
