Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated Buyer to join our Global Supply Chain team in Malaysia. You will help drive procurement, manage inbound material deliveries, and address internal stakeholder needs with urgency in a dynamic environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of purchasing experience, ERP/PLM familiarity (Oracle, SAP), and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset. You will maintain records, execute PO's, and foster strong supplier relationships across manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred.
• 1-3 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP and PLM systems (Oracle, SAP) preferred.
• Strong organizational and issue-closure skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Able to work independently in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion procurement best practices and use of new technology.
• Manage deliveries and escalations across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Maintain ERP records, quotes, and item master; execute purchase orders.
• Maintain delivery information in ERP aligned with MRP requirements.
• Establish daily relationships with suppliers and handle priorities.
• Provide forecasts to suppliers and monitor constraints; drive corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of delivery issues and work with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage returns, repair, salvage, re-work and inventory for assigned commodity.

If you have procurement experience managing inbound delivery of material across multiple global sites, address your internal stakeholder needs with a sense of urgency, and work well in a dynamic environment we want to talk to you.

Job Responsibilities

• Champion and influence best procurement practices and use of software and new technology
• Manage deliveries and escalations of the assigned commodity and suppliers across multiple manufacturing sites
• To complete this successfully you will:
  • Maintain accurate ERP records, quote, and item master
  • Execute purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate delivery information in the ERP system and in alignment with MRP requirements
  • Establish daily working relationships with suppliers, managing changing priorities and escalations
  • Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up, communication and quality of work
  • Can support Asia time zone requirements
  • Provide non-binding forecasts information to suppliers and regularly assess, monitor and report constraints and potential constraints
  • Identify root cause issues of delivery constraints and drive corrective actions with both the supplier and cross functional Ichor Supply Chain team.
• Manage returns and repair process for commitments for assigned commodity
• Manage reclaim / salvage / re-sale / rework of excess and obsolete inventory for assigned commodity

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred
• 1-3 years relevant experience or a combination thereof
• Experience working in ERP & PLM systems; Oracle, SAP and Agile preferred
• Highly organized and able to manage significant PO workload, track and drive closure on issues
• Ability to learn / understand the supplier’s business and manufacturing processes, technology sourced, and product families
• Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, stakeholders, peers, upper management and customers with clarity
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, hands‑on and results driven
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiation,
• Work independently in fast paced environment
