Job summary

ViTrox Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier performance from qualification through mass production. You will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and ensure both standard and fabrication parts meet ViTrox's exacting quality standards.

You will drive supplier capability development, resolve quality issues with 8D and 5 Whys, manage First Article Inspections, and collaborate with IQA, R&D, and Manufacturing on NPI to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of SQE experience, preferably in manufacturing or EMS.
• Solid knowledge of standard and fabrication parts; able to read engineering drawings.
• Strong 8D and 5 Whys problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier capability development and continuous improvement for fabrication parts.
• Resolve supplier quality issues systematically using 5 Whys and 8D methodology.
• Manage supplier qualifications (First Article Inspection) and monitor yields.
• Identify underperforming suppliers and implement development plans.
• Maintain and present supplier scorecards and performance data to management.
• Collaborate with IQA, R&D, and Manufacturing on NPI and mass production.
• Conduct new vendor qualification audits and periodic on-site audits.
• Mentor and guide a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.

• Resolve supplier quality issues systematically using 5 Whys and 8D methodology
• Manage supplier qualifications (First Article Inspection) and monitor manufacturing process yields
• Identify underperforming suppliers and implement structured development plans to uplift their process capability
• Maintain and present supplier scorecards and performance data to management
• Collaborate with IQA, R&D, and Manufacturing engineers on NPI and mass production to ensure quality fabrication parts
• Conduct new vendor qualification audits and periodic on-site audits, identifying areas for continuous improvement
• Mentor and guide a team of Supplier Quality Engineers
