Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a site-focused Civil Engineer to assist the Project Manager on various site matters, ensuring quality and adherence to drawings. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Building is required.

Candidates should understand construction activities, be able to read civil, structural, and architectural drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain schedule and quality.

Job Description :

To assist Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager in all site matters

Assist and undertake any other duties as instructed by superior

Attend site meetings when required

To coordinate with site team on work progress with minimum guidance

To liaise with sub-contractors and consultants to ensure all works are carried out according to construction drawing and specification with good quality of workmanship

To control and minimize wastage of materials & idling of machinery at site

To prepare paperwork such as bill of quantity, claims, progress report, ‘Kong’ card etc

Manage and ensure all project documents, record and filing system is maintained at all time

To monitor and forecast the progress work done / claim in line with the Master work program

Monitor and inspect sub-contractors works to ensure it operates in good condition and safe manner

Resolve technical complications and propose solutions to problems at site by communicating and meeting up with the consultants and contractors
