NOVA BUILDINGS GROUP in Malaysia is seeking a Structural Steel / PEB Senior Sales Engineer who can combine strong technical engineering knowledge with sales and commercial acumen to develop, promote, and secure PEB and structural steel projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or structural/applications engineering experience, preferably within the construction or steel fabrication sector.
• Proven track record of dealing with structural steel, building codes and construction methodologies.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or STAAD.Pro is an added advantage.
• Experience managing leads and sales pipelines in platforms such as Salesforce or Hubspot is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical reporting skills in English and the local language.
• A self-motivated, analytical, and results-driven individual with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate with more years of experience will be considered for Sales Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and structural steel structures such as factories, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand design intent, project scope, and technical requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical commercial proposals, engineering estimates and manage RFI/RFP (Request for information/proposal) responses.
• Maintain and expand professional relationships with consultants, architects, contractors, clients and developers to strengthen the company’s reputation and market presence.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects, and prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for management review.
• Deliver technical presentations and engage in detailed discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors to explain structural solutions, design approaches, and compliance with codes.
• Support clients during pre-award and post-award coordination, including technical clarifications, foundation interface alignment, and scope definition.
• Provide preliminary design support during high demand period to facilitate on-time budgetary quotation submission.
• Assist manager in closing deals, reviewing technical terms and finalizing contract specifications.
