Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead offshore and marine structural design within the Ehouse discipline. You will act as a design authority on multiple projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes and client requirements onsite.

Role involves coordinating with mechanical, piping, electrical, and HVAC teams, guiding junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement in structural engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience in Marine & Offshore, FPSO, or related projects.
• Proven expertise in offshore and modular steel structures design.
• Experience with SACS, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication, codes (ASTM, EN, API, SOLAS, ABS, DNV, LR).
• Ability to review calculations and coordinate interfaces using Navisworks, E3D or SP3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and optimization.
• Develop drawings and technical documentation (GA, detailed, isometric).
• Ensure compliance with codes and classification society rules.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for interfaces across disciplines.
• Manage structural activities from planning to procurement support and scheduling.
• Support installation, commissioning, and operations; resolve issues and changes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
