Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead Static Engineer in Malaysia to support FPSO static engineering activities and guide EPC contractors on static equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves.

The role requires ensuring compliance with project standards, international codes, and HSE policies, while supporting topside and hull interfaces through detailed engineering, fabrication, and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Static Equipment, Pressure Vessel, or related engineering roles within oil & gas, offshore, or petrochemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves, and relevant international standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to work in multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Static Engineer in delivering FPSO static engineering activities.
• Review and guide EPC Contractor on static equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, international codes, and HSE policies.
• Support topside engineering activities and provide assistance on hull-related interfaces.
• Participate throughout detailed engineering, fabrication, and construction phases.
• Review engineering deliverables and provide timely technical comments.
• Support resolution of technical queries and discipline-related issues.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Safety disciplines.
• Manage technical interfaces across packages and stakeholders.
• Monitor Contractor engineering performance and implementation of design changes.
• Participate in technical meetings, vendor reviews, inspections, and FAT activities.
• Review pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and static equipment documentation.
• Verify vendor compliance and support critical equipment inspections.
• Ensure accurate as-built documentation is delivered by the EPC Contractor.
• Support site construction activities and promote safe work practices.
