Job summary

ExxonMobil Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur, seeks an experienced Static Equipment Engineer to join our team. You will provide technical services for operating units, capital projects, and R&D, with emphasis on ASME VIII, API 510/650/660 and NBIC standards.

This role requires hands-on design, fabrication, and field experience onsite, collaboration with global teams, and mentorship of junior engineers. Located in KL, this position offers opportunities to influence asset integrity and safety across

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, LNG, or related industries.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME codes and API standards including API 510/650/660/620/661/653 & EN14015.
• Experience with pressure vessel and heat exchanger design.
• Onshore/offshore facilities design with on-site experience.
• Ability to interface with other engineering disciplines and lead reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide Static Equipment technical services to operating units, plants, projects and R&D.
• Partner with senior engineers on technical direction for complex scenarios.
• Support project development from concept through commissioning and startup.
• Apply understanding of asset operations to deliver cost-effective technical support.
• Document completed efforts to enable future reuse and process improvements.
• Mentor early-career professionals and participate in internal knowledge networks.
