Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Maintenance) to support daily operations on the production floor, ensuring equipment runs efficiently and quality standards are met. Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing tools, machines, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus.
• Proficient in using basic computer applications (MS Office, ERP systems).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment and machinery in a high-volume environment.
• Perform routine setup, changeover, calibration, and maintenance of tools and fixtures.
• Support engineering teams with the implementation of new processes and products into production.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process or equipment issues.
• Monitor key process parameters and identify opportunities for optimization and waste reduction.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on proper procedures and technical best practices.
• Ensure accurate documentation of activities, including production logs, maintenance records, and quality checks.
• Support continuous improvement activities including 5S, Lean manufacturing, and Kaizen events.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
