ams OSRAM Group in Malaysia seeks an analytical technician to support MOCVD epitaxy metrology. You will sustain metrology equipment uptime, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure measurement quality, including tool-to-tool matching and stability.
The role involves analyzing epitaxy film characterization, maintaining uptime, driving continuous improvement, transferring new equipment with process engineers, and ensuring EHS compliance.
Analytical technical competent on analytics hardware with respect to MOCVD thin film epitaxy growth. Full responsibility of Epi Analytic metrology equipment uptime sustaining, troubleshooting, maintenance PM and ensure equipment measurement quality including tool to tool matching and tool stability.
Key responsibilities
Analyze Epitaxy film characterization and Epitaxy surface analysis through application of semiconductor metrology together with analytical methodology tools
Sustain equipment uptime, troubleshoot, perform maintenance PM and ensure equipment measurement quality including tool to tool matching and tool stability
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance methodology and concept, improve uptime, accuracy, repeatability of analytical tools and risk mitigation strategy including spare part and critical part readiness
Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procedure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team
Ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy
Lead a group of technicians in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment, carry out PM activities and life span studies to establish PM standard and specification
Set-up SAP PM, maintenance work instructions TWI for responsible area
Achieve equipment key KPIs and support process engineering and operations teams to achieve process stability, output, process CpK and yield
Team up with Process engineer on chronic equipment failure through appropriate troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodology
Maintain effective records on equipment logbook on equipment failure and investigation
About you
Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Specialize in Metrology, Mechanical, Megatronics, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred with at least 5 years of semiconductor fab support experience
Experience and ability to do cross functional and contribute in global initiated projects
Basic leadership to facilitate meetings in local and global exchange meeting platform
Able to support in global exchange transfer project initiated to live abroad for certain period and adapt in different working culture
Experience and in-depth knowledge on electrical, mechanical hardware components on motor, aligner, robot and controller system, wafer robot vacuum handling and chiller system principles
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia preferable, able to speak German language is an advantage
