Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks an Epitaxy Process Engineering Sr Technician/Associate Engineer to manage MOCVD epitaxy growth processes. You will ensure operability, meet process KPIs, and act as the epitaxy reactor owner with cross-functional collaboration across production and analytic teams.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering, experience in semiconductor frontend processing, and familiarity with vacuum-related deposition/epitaxy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering.
• Experience in semiconductor wafer/chip frontend processing.
• Process manufacturing background and experience as process technician.
• Experience in vacuum related processes such as CVD, plasma, epitaxy growth; III-V semiconductor characterization is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and fine tune epitaxy reactor using RMS/R2R systems.
• Disposition of wafers and equipment/process buyoff following OCAP.
• Coordinate with production and analytic teams to meet KPIs.
• Ensure uptime and wafer quality through equipment handshakes with the team.
• Act as 1st interface with equipment/analytic/operation teams during absence of a process engineer.
• Work with cross functional teams to maintain process KPIs.
• Support pre-buffer process wafer disposition and OCAP adherence.
• Assist engineering troubleshooting or projects with production perspective.

Epitaxy Process Engineering Sr Technician/ Associate Engineer

Responsible for the process of MOCVD Epitaxy growth, assures the operability and operational goals by sustaining and continuous improving the processes. Full responsibility of MOCVD Epitaxy growth process with the ability to act as epitaxy reactor owner.

Key responsibilities

• Process adjustment and fine tuning of epitaxy reactor using RMS/R2R system
• Wafers disposition and equipment/process buyoff following the defined OCAP
• Liaise actively with production and analytic team to ensure smooth operation and meeting process KPIs
• Work closely with equipment/production team to ensure proper equipment handshake to upkeep uptime and quality of wafers
• Act as the 1st interface with equipment/analytic/operation team during absence of process engineer
• Work with cross functional team to upkeep process KPI
• Support epitaxy pre-buffer process wafer disposition with ability to follow the defined OCAP
• Support engineering troubleshooting or project by process engineer and co-work to support ideas from production view to achieve quality, cost or speed performance

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering
• Experience in semiconductor wafer/chip frontend processing
• Process manufacturing background and having experience as process technician
• Experience in vacuum related process alike chemical vapor deposition, plasma, Epitaxy growth, characterization of III-V semiconductor is an added advantage
• Having passion to learn and to explore new knowledge
• Ability to work in shift
• Good communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia
