Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a Process Engineer/Technician to sustain and optimize photolithography processes, including coat, expose, and develop operations, in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia.

You will monitor KPIs (defectivity, CpK, process capability), lead root-cause analyses, participate in process qualification and recipe optimization, drive CIP projects, mentor technicians, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and SOP standards.

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the‑art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Sustain and optimize Photolithography processes including coat, expose, and develop operations.
• Drive process improvement activities to enhance quality, yield, productivity, and cost performance.Monitor and control process KPIs including defectivity, CpK, process capability, and stability. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process-related issues.Involve in process qualification, process characterization, and recipe optimization activities
• Drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing, engineering builds, and technology transfer activities. Lead and mentor Process Technicians and junior engineers in daily process and technical activities. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• To have good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Support equipment team for equipment troubleshooting.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and strategic initiatives assigned by management. Maintain proper documentation, records, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
