Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia seeks an experienced Process Development professional to drive process scouting, optimisation, verification, and freezes in Development projects aimed at meeting timeline, quality, and cost targets.

You will hand over knowledge to Operations, generate essential documents, coordinate supplier interactions, and lead complex problem solving using SPC, DOE, and FMEA to improve process capability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 12 years in SMT/PCBA manufacturing.
• Hands-on SMT process experience (screen print, component attach and reflow).
• Mechanical tooling design and reflow know-how.
• Statistical data analysis including DOE.
• Fluid/thermo-mechanical simulation knowledge is a plus.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation.
• Generate and update documents, e.g., Process Specification, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR.
• Provide inputs for updating related documents and ensure correct contents.
• Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and verify new tooling, machines and materials.
• Technical lead for task force using SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, DFMEA.
• Identify and develop new process technology to meet new requirements and improve process capability.

Job description

Perform Process development activities (Process parameters scouting, optimisation, verification and Process Freeze) in Development projects to meet the project targets in term of timeline, quality, cost competiveness and manufacturability.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation.
• Generate and update relevant documents, eg Process Specification, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR.
• Provide inputs for updating of related documents and is responsible for their correct contents, eg Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, etc for development projects.
• Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines and materials in Development projects.
• Technical lead for task force and complex problem solving team using Statistical and analytical tools, eg SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA,DFMEA.
• Identify and develop new Process technology and improve Process capability to meet new requirements from Business divisions.

Your Profile

• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant course with 12 years working experience in SMT or PCBA manufacturing industry or others relevant industry.
• Strong hands‑on experience and skills in SMT processes (screen print, component attach and reflow).
• Mechanical engineering, stencil tooling design and reflow know how.
• Statistical data analysis including design of experiment.
• Fluid, thermo‑mechanical simulation knowledge is an added advantage.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
