Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Senior Specialist Accounting in Malaysia to manage payments, close activities, and AP operations while driving automation and improvements. You will coordinate audits, reconcile vendor accounts, and ensure controls align with corporate standards.

The role requires a 3–5 year accounting background, proficiency with SAP and MS Office, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. ACCA/CPA helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• 3–5 years of AP or general accounting experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience leading finance projects and process improvements a plus.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely payments and financial closing in line with policies and SLAs.
• Identify and implement automation and process-improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate audit inquiries for Accounts Payable from internal/external auditors.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve inquiries/discrepancies.
• Maintain internal controls and risk management in AP operations.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to optimize AP processes.
• Support compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

• Ensure timely execution of payments and financial closing activities in compliance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements
• Drive productivity and operational efficiency by identifying, implementing, and monitoring automation opportunities and process improvements
• Manage and coordinate audit inquiries related to Accounts Payable (AP) from internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and Accounts Payable accounts, and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies promptly
• Ensure effective implementation and adherence to risk management practices and internal control measures within daily Accounts Payable operations
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support smooth Accounts Payable operations and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Support compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or similar environment
• Hands-on experience with SAP systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting principles, processes, procedures, and double-entry bookkeeping
• Proven ability to manage and lead finance-related projects and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timely delivery of results
• Professional accounting certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) are an added advantage
