PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia) seeks an experienced Lead Architect to design and own end-to-end architectures for mission-critical payment services, real-time rails, API gateways, tokenisation frameworks, and settlement infrastructure at national scale.

You will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into rigorous architectural decisions, define standards and guardrails, and lead vendor due diligence while collaborating with risk, product, and compliance to align roadmaps.

Qualifikationen

• End-to-end system ownership for financial transaction systems at scale.
• Distributed systems architecture and failure handling.
• API design, governance, and security baselines.
• Security architecture including authentication, encryption, and secrets management.

Aufgaben

• Design end-to-end architectures for mission-critical payment services and related systems.
• Define architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails across engineering squads.
• Lead technical due diligence on vendor integrations with security and performance focus.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and compliance to align architecture with roadmaps.
• Produce ADRs, reference architectures, and threat models as institutional knowledge.
• Drive reduction of technical debt through remediation roadmaps.
