Job summary

TERA VA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Design & Costing Engineer for its solar projects. You will participate in site visits with BD & Project Engineer, review and approve designs and BOMs, and ensure cost-efficient yet high-quality engineering outcomes.

Role requires 5-6 years in solar PV design or related engineering, with engineering degree(s) and experience in project management documentation. Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Helios, PVsyst is desirable.

Qualifications

5-6+ years of experience in solar PV design or related engineering.
Diploma or higher in Engineering (Diploma/Advanced/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's or Professional Degree).
Experience in preparing project management documentation.

Responsibilities

Visit sites with BD & Project Engineer during order intake.
Review, validate, and approve project designs, engineering concepts, and BOMs.
Ensure designs are cost-optimized while meeting performance and quality targets.
Provide technical justification and value engineering proposals.
Ensure compliance with local regs, industry standards, and internal guidelines.
Oversee timely delivery of design documents and drawings per schedule.
Validate BOM quantities and align with procurement needs.
Engage with Project Engineer on design scope and subcon costs.
Attend Kick Off Meetings and communicate BOM and subcon cost details.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
