Job summary

CFI Financial Group is seeking a Back-end Developer (Python) to join our global finance tech team in a dynamic, fast‑growing environment. You will build features, define technical specs, and present implementations to leadership while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and scalability.

The role requires 3+ years of Python development, strong software design skills, and experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of Python software development experience; PHP is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software design and architecture.
• Understanding of SDLC and SOA principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices and containerized applications.
• Experience with Kubernetes and IaC (Terraform, Helm).
• GIT and CI/CD (Jenkins) experience.
• Knowledge of web security standards and best practices.
• Unit and integration testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop features.
• Develop solutions per specified business requirements.
• Define and write technical specs, including tech stack and workflow.
• Demonstrate implementations to team leaders/CTO.
• Implement unit and integration tests.
• Ensure software quality, security, modifiability and extensibility.
• Participate in code reviews and refactor as needed.

Job Description:

We are hiring a talented Back-end Developer (Python) professional to join our team

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in developing features and new products.
• Develop solutions according to specified business requirements.
• Define and write up the technical spec, including the appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
• Demonstrate and present implementation to team leaders/heads/CTO.
• Implement Unit and Integration Tests.
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Participate in code reviews, identifying anti‑patterns in the code and refactoring opportunities.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by their superior from time to time.

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ Years experience in software development and coding in Python. PHP will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
• Technical mindset with great attention to detail.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Some experience in RabbitMQ or Kafka or other
• Experience in developing microservices and managing containerized applications.
• Some experience building websockets.
• Some level of experience with Kubernetes and IaC (Terraform,Helm).
• Be proficient in using version control and continuous integration, with tools such as Git and Jenkins.
