Job summary

UBCT in Malaysia seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Product R&D) to own software products powering ARS and MMS, collaborating with our Shanghai R&D team to enhance platforms and deliver robotics solutions for real-world industrial settings.

You will drive technical specs, design APIs and integration modules with AMR/AGV, RFID and PLC systems, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, maintainable software aligned with the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in software development, system integration, or automation roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with integrations using MQTT, ROS/ROS2, RFID or industrial IoT is advantageous.
• Exposure to robotics and industrial automation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical product owner in Malaysia for ARS and MMS.
• Collaborate with Shanghai Product R&D to drive enhancements and releases.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specs.
• Design and develop APIs, middleware, and orchestration services.
• Develop integrations with humanoid robots, AMR/AGV, RFID, barcode systems.
• Participate in planning, testing, UAT, release validation and deployment readiness.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability aligned with roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
