Job summary

Singtel Kuala Lumpur is launching its brand-new Shared Services Centre and seeks a Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable solutions across the NewCore platform, including CRM, Product Catalogue, Order Management and CPQ.

You will work across backend and frontend, using Java, Go, Python or TypeScript, with ReactJS, building microservices-based architectures and APIs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet architecture standards and accelerate digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in enterprise system development, preferably in BSS/OSS environments.
• Full-stack development experience across backend and frontend.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Frontend development experience with ReactJS.
• Hands-on frontend development in commercial/company projects.
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop application modules and core system components within the NewCore platform.
• Implement microservices-based architectures and build reusable, modular services.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services and integration layers across distributed systems.
• Support implementation of product modelling, pricing configuration and order orchestration flows.

The Software Engineer plays a key role in developing and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across Singtel’s NewCore platform. This role focuses on hands-on development across BSS domains such as CRM, Product Catalogue, Order Management and CPQ, contributing to next-generation digital platforms.

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2 to 6 years of experience in enterprise system development, preferably in BSS/OSS environments
• Full-stack development experience is required, with hands-on experience across both backend and frontend development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript
• Frontend development experience with ReactJS is required
• Candidates must have hands-on frontend development experience in commercial/company projects
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux environments and version control tools such as Git
• Experience with zSmart BSS, zSmart CPQ, or similar platforms is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Good to Have:

• Exposure to event-driven architecture such as Kafka or messaging systems
• Knowledge of TM Forum standards
• Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
