Job summary

Software Engineer position at Singtel KL (Sudong MY Sdn Bhd) focuses on building scalable, high-quality solutions across the NewCore platform. You will work on modules for CRM, Product Catalogue, Order Management and CPQ, delivering microservices-based architectures and robust APIs.

Join a fast-paced team in Kuala Lumpur, collaborating with cross-functional partners to meet architecture standards and drive digital transformation in the Shared Services Centre.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 6 years of enterprise system development experience, preferably in BSS/OSS environments.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Linux environment familiarity and Git version control.
• Experience with zSmart BSS or zSmart CPQ is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modules and core components within the NewCore platform.

• Develop and maintain APIs, services and integration layers across distributed systems.

The Software Engineer plays a key role in developing and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across Singtel’s NewCore platform. This role focuses on hands-on development across BSS domains such as CRM, Product Catalogue, Order Management and CPQ, contributing to next-generation digital platforms.

Skills For Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2 to 6 years of experience in enterprise system development, preferably in BSS/OSS environments
• Full-stack development experience is required, with hands-on experience across both backend and frontend development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript
• Frontend development experience with ReactJS is required
• Candidates must have hands-on frontend development experience in commercial/company projects
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux environments and version control tools such as Git
• Experience with zSmart BSS, zSmart CPQ, or similar platforms is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  
  

Good To Have

• Exposure to event-driven architecture such as Kafka or messaging systems
• Knowledge of TM Forum standards
• Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
