Job summary

SEEK in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our APAC team and help build and operate core services used by candidates, hirers and internal groups. You will be a key technical contributor, own critical systems, and help shape the technical direction.

You will work in a cross‑functional squad, collaborate with product and design, and mentor others while delivering reliable, scalable software in a cloud‑first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating production‑grade software.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, code review, CI/CD, security).
• Proven track record leading technical delivery and owning services end‑to‑end.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, testing, deployment and maintenance of software across production.
• Own health, reliability, resilience, and efficiency of key platforms and services.
• Collaborate within squad to plan, deliver and operate high quality software.
• Mentor and coach other engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Drive secure coding practices and DevOps improvements in the team.
