Job summary

CODETRACE Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian AI automation company headquartered in Shah Alam with offices in Batu Kawan. We build smart factory solutions across Machine Vision, Smart Warehouse and Factory Automation, and we provide automation projects for customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design architecture, take products from prototype to stable release, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with R&D, mechanical, electrical and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven product-from-prototype experience; not just one-off projects.
• Strong Python, C++, and C# skills.
• Git, automated testing, CI/CD and API design knowledge.
• Experience integrating software with hardware/industrial equipment.
• Familiar with Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, SQL, Linux and Docker.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain CODETRACE’s in-house software products from prototype to production release.
• Turn business needs into product requirements and technical designs.
• Define reusable software architecture across projects and units.
• Lead software development for customer automation projects.
• Integrate software with robots, cameras, sensors, PLCs and controllers.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and system designs.
