Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Architect in Kuala Lumpur to design target data models and data pipelines using Snowflake and SAP Datasphere. You will implement secure data access, support migrations, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in data engineering, strong Snowflake skills, and hands-on Python or SQL-based ELT with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt. Familiarity with SAP BW is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
• Solid Snowflake experience including data modelling, SQL and virtual warehouses.
• Hands-on with Python or SQL-based ELT and a pipeline orchestration tool such as Airflow, dbt or similar.
• Comfortable with one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Knowledge of SAP BW or SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design target data models, ingestion patterns, and transformation layers using Snowflake and SAP Datasphere.
• Build and review ELT/ETL pipelines and data transformations, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Translate business requirements into functional code through source-to-target mapping.
• Define and implement security and access-control models, including RBAC and data masking.
• Support historical data migrations and cutover activities.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in technical design workshops with the client's architecture team.
