Job summary

Fastrain in Malaysia seeks a senior SMT process engineer to lead manufacturing quality initiatives and process improvements. You will solve engineering problems, provide SMT process instructions, and generate DFM/GR&R/FMEA reports to boost yield and reduce scrap.

The role demands 5 years of manufacturing experience, familiarity with ISO9001/14001/45001 and IATF16949, and strong data/reporting skills. Independent, proactive leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Electronics, Mechanical or similar majoring.
• 5 years working experience in manufacturing & quality assurance.
• Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, IATF16949
• Ability to assist and review documents.
• Excellence in MS such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab.
• Working independently and with minimum supervision.
• Show strong leadership and self-driven motivation to achieve excellent result.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all SMT process, engineering problems solving and productivity promotion.
• Provide SMT process instruction for manufacturing.
• Provide DFM report, GRNR, CpK, FMEA.
• Handle process improvement for ultimate yield & quality, less scrap and cycle time.
• Conduct engineering change and evaluation.
• Transfer new products, process, tooling, equipment and technology.
• Provide accurate data/report or recommendation to higher management if required.
• Prepare presentation package to management.
• Know your customer's expectations and drive section to meet them.
• Experience in handling DEK, ASM, AOI, X-ray, Router machine (extra advantage)
