Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Prai, Penang is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process engineering efforts focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in our manufacturing environment.

You will define and implement manufacturability solutions, lead capital equipment initiatives, and drive ECOs. The role requires collaboration with production teams and strong problem-solving skills to ensure robust, repeatable processes and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in NPI and PCBA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and solve daily issues.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Oversee new process equipment production and ECOs.
• Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters.
• Develop and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related issues.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvement activities.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Provide safety, productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Review processing methods and transfer to production teams.
• Assist in training during new technology transfer.
