Job summary

Strattonshire Ventures is seeking a highly experienced Senior SEO Specialist to lead international organic growth. This role goes beyond execution, requiring you to diagnose complex SEO issues, craft growth strategies, collaborate with developers and external agencies, and uncover opportunities to boost organic visibility, traffic, registrations and revenue.

Qualifications

7+ years hands-on SEO experience.
Proven experience growing organic traffic, rankings and/or organic acquisition.
Strong technical SEO knowledge.
Strong understanding of Google Search and ranking systems.
Experience with technically complex websites.
Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console.
Strong GA4 knowledge.
Advanced experience with Ahrefs and/or Semrush.
Strong understanding of crawling, indexing and website architecture.
Experience working directly with developers.
Strong keyword research and search-intent analysis skills.
Experience with international SEO.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently develop and execute an SEO strategy.
Ability to communicate SEO recommendations clearly to non-SEO stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute SEO strategies to grow organic traffic, visibility, registrations and revenue across international markets.
Identify high-impact search opportunities and prioritise initiatives based on commercial potential.
Continuously analyse performance, competitors and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
Own the technical SEO health of the website, including crawlability, indexation, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps, hreflang, site architecture, Schema and Core Web Vitals.
Work with developers and external agencies to prioritise, implement and QA technical improvements.
Diagnose and resolve SEO issues that negatively impact rankings and organic performance.
Develop keyword strategies, search-intent mapping and keyword-to-URL architecture.
Lead content strategy, topical authority and content optimisation across priority markets.
Identify opportunities to improve, consolidate, expand or remove existing content.
Ensure strong internal linking and on-page optimisation across key landing pages.
Develop strategies for link acquisition, digital PR and authority building.
Analyse competitors’ rankings, content, backlinks and SEO strategies to identify opportunities to outperform them.
Monitor backlink quality, SEO risks and changes in the competitive landscape.
Develop SEO strategies across multiple international markets, adapting to local search behaviour and competition.
Explore emerging opportunities across AEO, GEO, AI search and other evolving search surfaces.
Test new SEO approaches and growth opportunities rather than relying solely on conventional SEO tactics.
Track SEO performance against organic traffic, rankings, registrations, conversions and revenue.
Provide clear insights into what is working, what is not and what should happen next.
Act as the internal SEO authority when working with external agencies, freelancers, developers and content resources.
Build processes and SOPs that can eventually support the growth of an internal SEO team.
