Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Commodity Lead Buyer to drive qualification projects, lead cost-saving material initiatives, and implement strategic commodity plans. You will engage with suppliers, define SMS strategies, and ensure all contracts and records are maintained in SAP.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing and related fields, strong leadership, and excellent English communication to support cross-functional teams and global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, materials planning, and process engineering.
• Proficiency in SAP and knowledge of SOX, RBA/ESG, IATF/ISO/EMS standards.

Responsibilities

• Run qualification projects and supplier assessments.
• Lead cost-saving and material-savings initiatives.
• Define, document, and implement commodity strategies including SMS plans.
• Participate in commercial discussions with suppliers to align objectives.
• Maintain documentation and Info Records in SAP.
• Manage supplier contracts and update agreements (NDA, CSR, MPA, BCP).
• Escalate disputes to management and coordinate with legal as needed.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, ethics, ESG, IATF/ISO/EMS standards and maintain internal controls.
