Job summary

PETROS is seeking a Senior Application Specialist to provide functional and technical SAP support, ensuring reliable operations and continuous improvement. You will partner with business groups and SAP partners to manage incidents, changes, and projects while aligning IT governance and user access controls.

The role requires 7+ years of SAP experience across multiple modules, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to train and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Computing/BIS/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of SAP application support, functional consulting, troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation (preferably S/4HANA).
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP modules such as FICO, JVA, MM, PS, AM, PM, SD, HCM, SuccessFactors, Ariba, DRC, BTP, ABAP, or BASIS.
• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, integration technologies, and transport management.
• Ability to manage incidents throughout their lifecycle, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with business users and technical teams.
• Experience in user training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior staff.
• Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, e-Invoicing, Procurement, Materials & Inventory, Logistics, Asset Management, Maintenance, and HR.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry practices is an advantage.
• Awareness of SAP product developments and updates.
• Formal SAP training in S/4HANA/SuccessFactors/Ariba/BTP/ABAP/BASIS is an advantage.
• SAP Associate/Specialist/Professional certification is highly desirable.
• PMP or AgilePM certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Solutioning: provide functional/technical SAP support and optimise SAP utilisation.
• Projects & Change Management: lead and support SAP projects, enhancements, and change requests.
• Service Delivery: manage SAP service delivery, review partner proposals, and monitor performance.
• Incident Management: analyse issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with partners for resolution.
• Governance & Compliance: manage SAP access, roles and authorisations with regular reviews.
• User Training: develop training materials and deliver hands-on SAP training sessions.
• SAP Documentation: maintain accurate SAP documentation for knowledge retention and maintenance.
