Job summary

Swift, a global leader in secure financial messaging, seeks a Senior SAP BW developer to drive BW/4HANA initiatives in our Malaysia-based BAS Tribe. You will own design reviews, transport strategies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of enterprise software experience, strong ABAP BW skills, and hands-on knowledge of SAP HANA, ETL and data warehousing concepts. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Typically, 8–10 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority and a high sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA DB with Eclipse BW Modeling Tools, data warehousing concepts like ETL, LSA++.
• Strong hands-on knowledge on ABAP related to BW (ex: AMDP, Routines, Extraction logic, enhancement etc.).
• Good to have knowledge on reporting tools like MicroStrategy, SAC.
• Strong experience working in Agile delivery models within controlled enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of SAP system landscapes, multi-environment transport management, and release processes.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Strong experience working in BAU and project-based delivery models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and approve technical designs, code changes, and transport strategies.
• Proactively identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns, and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements from development point of view.
• Work closely in collaboration with functional leads, product owners, and testing team.
• Support BAU and project delivery activities, ensuring alignment across environments.
• Contribute to onboarding, knowledge transfer, and documentation initiatives.
