Job summary

Mabcon Energy Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environment Officer to oversee all SHE matters on our construction sites in Malaysia. The role focuses on planning, implementation, training and ensuring the full compliance of safety and environmental regulations.

You will lead toolbox discussions, conduct risk assessments, manage emergency procedures and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across projects. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Valid Green Book holder registered with DOSH.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience as an SHO (preferably in LSS project under EPCC).
• Familiar with CIDB, DOSH, and local authority safety requirements.
• Experience in conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inspection.
• Able to lead, monitor, and enforce safety compliance at site.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement SHE procedures at the construction site.
• Prepare PQSHEP and assist management in monitoring its implementation.
• Conduct HIRARC risk assessments and update Environment Aspect Impact framework.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses and report root causes.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, evacuations, and first aid training.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE; carry out other duties as assigned.
