Job summary

DFI Retail Group in Malaysia seeks a Records-to-Report & Corporate Reporting, Accounting Senior Analyst to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with local and Group standards. You will work with the local accounting team and a BPO partner on key RTR activities and month-end close.

Responsibilities include statutory and management reporting, working with auditors, and maintaining strong controls. 3+ years of relevant experience and English communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• 3+ years in Finance or Accounting, preferably in a Finance Shared Services environment.
• Hands-on experience in RTR, General Ledger, month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Exposure to statutory reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, audit and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with local accounting team and BPO partner across RTR activities (Trial Balance, General Ledger, Inventory, IFRS 16, Bank/Cash, Corporate Reporting).
• Support Finance Controller in overseeing month-end closing and timely, accurate records.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, Group management reporting and local regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with DFI accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate items and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare reconciliations between SRS and Statutory Accounts; support SCOA changes.
• Coordinate with external auditors for interim, year-end and corporate audits.
• Support tax compliance activities in partnership with Tax team.
• Partner with FP&A to analyse performance and provide insights.
• Build stakeholder relationships and drive SLAs and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and efficiencies.
• Maintain archiving controls for corporate records.
