Senior RTR Accountant — IFRS & Financial Controls

Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Malaysia seeks an experienced RTR accountant to manage general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and support IFRS 16 reporting. The role requires a strong accounting foundation, 4+ years of RTR experience, and proficiency in MS Office.

You will collaborate with regional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate shows adaptability in a fast-paced environment and can deliver insights from financial data to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in RTR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Proven analytical skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts, including journal preparation, review and approval.
• Perform reconciliation of financial data in the general ledger to supporting documentation and ensure balance sheet accuracy.
• Review Capex-related purchase requisitions to align with policy.
• Regularly review bank open items for timely reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.
• Monitor reporting of fixed assets and intercompany transactions with SSC and local finance teams.
• Support cash management activities including banking transactions.
• Manage IFRS 16 reporting, lease contracts, and related disclosures.
