Job summary

SAS Institute in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant in Risk Solutions to help banks address risk management priorities. You will translate regulatory and business requirements into practical, technology-enabled solutions that improve risk and finance processes and capital management.

The role is senior and client-facing, requiring a techno-functional background and hands-on experience with risk platforms and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

10 years of relevant experience in financial risk management, risk advisory, enterprise risk technology or risk and finance transformation.
Advanced knowledge of credit risk, IFRS 9 expected credit loss, Basel regulatory capital, end-to-end RWA calculations.
Strong understanding of asset and liability management, including IRRBB, liquidity risk and capital management.
Hands-on, techno-functional experience translating regulatory requirements into solution designs and data configurations.

Responsibilities

Advise banks and financial institutions on credit, market, liquidity, interest-rate and operational risk management.
Lead discovery workshops with senior executives to understand business priorities and solution requirements.
Translate complex regulatory and business requirements into solution designs, analytical approaches and implementation plans.
Provide technical and functional leadership throughout the solution lifecycle and support demonstrations.
