Job summary

SAS Institute in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Technical Consultant (IFRS9) to support client projects across regulatory capital, IFRS 9, stress testing and asset-liability management. You’ll work with banking clients to address risk management challenges using technology-enabled SAS solutions.

This client-facing role requires analytical problem-solving, data experience and strong communication. You’ll translate requirements into specifications, configure and validate SAS Risk products, and

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in banking risk management or analytics.
Experience with IFRS 9, Basel capital, stress testing or related disciplines.
Experience in software implementation or consulting in banking.
Hands-on in configuration, testing, data analysis and requirements docs.
Familiarity with data management, SQL and ETL in risk systems.
Exposure to SAS Risk solutions or similar platforms is advantageous.
Progress toward FRM/PRM certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of banking risk solution projects including IFRS 9 and regulatory capital.
Translate business and regulatory requirements into functional specs and designs.
Configure, validate and test SAS Risk solutions under senior guidance.
Collaborate with consultants, project managers and client stakeholders.
Prepare project documentation and client presentations.
