Qualificações

• Degree in Business or Banking/Financial services related discipline.
• ICA-related certifications would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years work experience preferably in regulatory compliance / business risk & control, or internal audit in a financial institution.
• Audit / Regulatory Compliance / First Line of Defence Risk & Control role.
• Operational risk concepts & risk management principles and controls.
• Understanding of corporate banking business processes/ practices.
• Ability to assess levels of adherence/execution and identify risk / control improvement opportunities.
• Critical thinker and solutions provider.

Responsabilidades

• Identify business changes and coordinate/prepare the required analysis to review such changes, and ensure proper mitigating controls.
• Support risk identification, escalation & remediation.
• Identify recommendations to improve the quality of internal controls and risk mitigations.
• For operational risk-related matters, formulate, implement or review action plans of BUs to address control gaps/regulatory gaps/control weaknesses identified.
• Drive compliance with GNFRM and internal procedures, applicable laws/regulations/guidelines.
• Review and implement relevant internal Policies and Procedures and/or SOPs to address laws/regulations/guidelines.
• Participate and drive the RCSA program for GWB CIBC.
• Capture and track key Compliance and Operational Risk events, gaps and risk mitigating actions via the GRC system and facilitate validation by Risk Control Unit.
• Undertake effective control self-testing measures in the form of KRI and CET.
• Drive and participate in operational risk related projects.
• Drive compliance with GC policies and procedures.
• Support gap analysis via Regulatory Change Management modules in GRC System; close identified gaps.
• Support GWB CIBC during audits & thematic reviews by internal/external stakeholders.
• Be a business advisor and liaison for front-liners and Second Line of Defense for regulatory/compliance and internal requirements (AML/CFT, Sanctions, FX Policy, Connected Party, ABC regulations).
• Provide guidance to support the business in meeting risk objectives.
• Participate in and contribute to other key processes of CIBC including Watchlist Alerts Management, Personal Account Dealing, AB&C declarations, cross-border activities, mandatory leaves and training.
• Undertake tasks relating to regulatory or compliance as required by the Head of CIBC Governance.
